EM Structure & Molecular Mechanism

电镜结构与分子机制

Cryo-EM is now the major technique for structural biology. However, the full power of biological EM is yet to be fulfilled.

Our research focuses on structural dymanics of biological macromolecules in their (near-)native environments, which is demonstrated by our cryo-EM work on a variety of proteins, protein-lipid complexes, protein-DNA/RNA complexes, and RNAs. We have deep understanding and extensive experience in performing EM experiments to obtain biological insights.

Our ongoing work is to understand the detailed mechanisms of protein machines and their regulation by bound ligands, as well as to explore the structrual basis of native protein complexes in a systematic and unbiased fashion.
